Sky contact details to help existing customers get Black Friday deals

Sky has launched its Black Friday deals with offers designed to bring new customers in and sign them up to contracts lasting up to two years. But where does that leave existing customers of the brand who want to cut their bills?

The latest Sky offers include what the TV company is calling the 'cheapest ever' price for its Sky Glass TV, a new smart TV that does not need a satellite dish and bundles up access to streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in one place. The price is £11 per month for the TV itself, along with a Sky and Netflix bundle that takes the entire monthly cost to £36.

The price is enticing for new customers because they get essentially a free TV with a contract but it may leave those paying more unhappy that new customers are getting cheaper offers than theirs.

Existing customers can actually get their hands on the new customer deals during Black Friday but it can often be a bit more difficult than visiting the website and signing up.

If you go to your Sky account and log in you will be able to see if you can upgrade (or downgrade) your contract early. That will allow you to access more deals with the caveat that you may have to sign up for another 18 month or two-year contract period.

Logging in to the Sky website will show you all of the deals available to you but the system only allows you to add packages to your deal and there are not any options to remove them. It's not a very customer friendly experience when you want to save some money.

Calling Sky is a more time-consuming method but often leads to the same offers as you can see in your login section.

Instead the Sky chat function may be a better way to get deals as an existing customer. Head to the online help centre and use the chat to share the deal you have spotted and ask if you can be moved to the deal. Often the customer service representatives are happy to offer you similar terms and upgrade you to the Black Friday offers.
