Twins Kathryn and Meghan Prescott shot to fame in 2008 after landing the coveted roles of Emily and Katie Fitch on the hit E4 show Skins.
Viewers enjoyed their dramatic storylines, which included Emily struggling with her sexuality, and ruthless Katie trying to exert control over her twin, as well as almost being killed by love rival Effy.
After leaving the soap in 2010, the girls continued to pursue careers in acting, but hesitated in performing alongside each other in the future.
Kathryn previously spoke about her relationship with her twin, and said it was “tying” working with Megan, and “very full on”.
“We're not very close twins - we went to separate schools and never wanted to do the twin thing in our careers, but Skins was too good an opportunity to miss,” she told The Sun, insisting they would “go our separate ways” after the hit show finished.
Despite appearances in BBC One primetime shows including Holby City and Casualty, Megan eventually ditched acting, and decided to become a bodybuilder instead.
In 2016, she documented her 10-month journey training to compete in a bodybuilding event in the documentary Megan Prescott: Dumbbells and Donuts Introduction.
She regularly updates her followers on social media with snaps from her latest competitions, as well as showing off her impressive physique.
Earlier this year, she revealed she had joined the adults-only subscription site OnlyFans, and was sharing racy snaps with paying admirers.
“I started my page in April 2020 when the pandemic hit as I didn’t get furloughed for a while,” Megan told The Sun, confessing she turned to OnlyFans as she didn’t want to work in “menial jobs”.
“I had zero money and was told by a friend who has worked as a stripper for years that people were guaranteed to subscribe because they had watched me in Skins,” she added.
While Megan has turned her back on acting, twin Kathryn has seen her career go from strength to strength.
In 2014, she played Penelope in the historical romance drama series Reign, before landing the role of lead character Carter Stevens in MTV’s teen drama Finding Carter.
Kathryn’s enjoyed roles in other US TV shows, including The Rookie, 24: Legacy, and The Son, but her flourishing career ground to a halt in 2021, when she was involved in a horrifying accident.
The budding photographer was hit by a cement truck in September 2021 in New York, and was hospitalised for a month, prompting her family to start a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help Megan fly out to the US amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Nathan Fillion, who worked with Kathryn on The Rookie, donated £3,600 to the cause, and the family were inundated with messages of support from her fans.
Kathryn suffered a broken pelvis, as well as a multitude of other serious injuries, and it was feared she would be left paralysed.
She addressed the terrifying incident on social media earlier this year, and thanked her twin for moving “heaven and earth” following the accident, from which she has made a full recovery.
