A body was found at a home in Bolton after housing association staff forced their way inside.
Workers from Bolton at Home went into the property on Hemsworth Road before making the tragic discovery.
Police were then called to the scene. A spokesperson for the force said 'skeletal remains' were found.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the person's death. A file has been passed to the coroners' office.
Noel Sharpe, Group CEO of Bolton at Home, previously said in a statement: "On Thursday 9 March, one of our staff members discovered a body at one of our properties in Hemsworth Road, Halliwell, after gaining entry to the property. We are working with police and the coroner’s office to assist with investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident and are unable to comment further while these investigations take their course.
"We’re saddened by what’s happened and know this may be very upsetting for people living nearby. We will offer as much support as we can and encourage anybody with any concerns to contact us on 01204 328000."
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "GMP received a call to an address on Hemsworth Road in Bolton at approximately 10.50am on Thursday 9 March 2023, to reports of a deceased body.
"Sadly, skeletal remains were found inside the property. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances."
