A heartbroken mum and dad are still looking for answers following their six-week-old the Liverpool Echo reports girl's tragic death at the family home. Cassidy Blossom Oakley was found unresponsive after appearing to have fallen from the footstool she was lying on at around 11pm on September 5, 2021.
The stool was attached to the couch, with the little girl becoming stuck between the sofa and wall. Dad Jacob Oakley had accidentally fallen asleep and said he felt he had been woken by a "higher force" when he discovered his daughter on the floor at their home in Runcorn.
He and Cassidy's mum, Megan, paid tribute to their "bright, blue eyed baby girl" at an inquest into the youngster's death held in Warrington on Wednesday. In a statement read out to the court, the parents said that Cassidy had been a twin but that they sadly lost the other baby in a miscarriage, the Liverpool Echo reports.
