Six people were rescued in two separate incidents off the Dublin and Wexford coasts over the weekend thanks to multi-agency responses.
Three people were rescued after getting into difficulty swimming off Kilmore Quay at around 3.30pm on Saturday.
Two men and one woman are reported to have drifted out to sea after being caught in a strong current at Burrow Beach.

Kilmore Quay Lifeboat, the Coastguard unit and the Air and Sea Rescue 117 Sikorsky S-92 helicopter based at Waterford Airport responded to the alert.
The three, in their late teens and early 20’s were brought to Kilmore lifeguard station, and one man was airlifted to University Hospital Waterford.
Ger Carthy, Ambulance Officer thanked the responders and the “local community” for their prompt response in calling 999.
“One male assessed onsite and airlifted to UHW as a precaution. All’s well that ends well,” added Mr Carthy.
Meanwhile a second incident off the north Dublin coast at Howth involving another three people occurred on Saturday afternoon also when the boat they were aboard overturned off the Dublin coast.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the vessel overturned in the Howth area of north Co Dublin close to the East pier and Ireland’s Eye.
Dublin Civil Defence, Dublin Fire Brigade, Howth RNLI, National Ambulance Service (NAS) Irish Coast Guard Sikorsky S-92 Air and Sea Rescue helicopter R116 and gardai were involved in the emergency rescue.
Two of the casualties were brought to Howth RNLI station and another to the East pier by the Dublin Civil defence rescue boat.
A RNLI spokesperson said that one of the people who had fallen into the sea was treated for suspected hypothermia prior to being transferred to a waiting ambulance for hospital treatment.
“Two were recovered from the water by rescue boat and a third person swam ashore to the east pier,” the spokesperson explained.
“The individuals had been wearing life jackets which undoubtedly led to a positive outcome. Thank you to Dublin Civil Defence, Dublin Fire Brigade, Howth RNLI, National Ambulance Service, Rescue 116 and An Garda Siochana.
“Remember if you see someone in difficulty on or near the coast dial 112/999 and ask for the Irish Coast Guard,” the spokesperson added.
