Six of the 10 most disadvantaged Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Australia have been identified in Queensland, new data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics reveals.

Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA) assesses relative advantage and disadvantage for LGAs around the country using Census data.
