
Scotland shattered France’s grand slam dreams to break open the Six Nations title race in an epic win at Murrayfield.
The two sides shared 90 points in Edinburgh as the inspired hosts emerged as deserved victors, with the Scots heading to Dublin on the final weekend level on points with Les Bleus.
Ireland may still be in the hunt, too, at just two points behind their “Super Saturday” opponents and the defending champions — though will need a helping hand from England in Paris that looks unlikely.
Steve Borthwick’s side already their title hopes were over after following another Murrayfield horror show against Scotland with an even poorer performance as Ireland ran rampant at Twickenham, but slumped to an historic defeat to Italy in Rome.
