ATLANTA — It’s been six months since the “Young Slime Life” trial started and a jury still hasn’t been selected.
As delays pile up with no end in sight, many expect the sprawling trial will be the longest in Georgia’s history.
The gang and racketeering case centers around Atlanta rapper Young Thug, whom prosecutors allege is the leader of a south Atlanta gang based in and around Cleveland Avenue. Attorneys for the musician, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, maintain their client is innocent. They say YSL is simply the name of the star’s record label.
