Six men kidnapped and robbed drug dealers on Central Coast

SIX men - some from the Hunter and others with ties to outlaw motorcycle gangs - targeted, kidnapped and robbed two drug dealers on the Central Coast in one night, dragging one man into a car and taking him to an isolated lookout where they stripped his clothes off and held a knife to his cheek.

The six men - including four that had links to either the Nomads or Bandidos OMCG - are all behind bars after either pleading guilty or being convicted by a jury of kidnapping and robbery in company over the two brutal attacks at Terrigal and North Gosford.

The victim was targeted by the group because he allegedly owed a debt to a drug dealer with connections to the Bandidos.

There had been an arrangement for the victim to supply cocaine on the dealer's behalf, but he began avoiding the dealer and stopped answering his calls, according to court documents.

And so on a night in February, 2022, word of the drug debt was mentioned at a meeting of the Sydney chapter of the Nomads, where a senior member told three men to head to the Central Coast to track down the victim and "mete out severe punishment for failing to pay back the money".

Meanwhile, the drug dealer was at a pub in Newcastle with two other men when that group also decided to head to the Central Coast to find the victim.

It was in the early hours of February 12 that one of the groups found the victim walking along the road at Terrigal. They pulled him into the backseat where he was assaulted and had a knife held to his cheek while another member of the group accessed the victim's bank details on his mobile phone.

The other group showed up and the drug dealer also assaulted the victim, before he was driven up to Crackneck Lookout at Bateau Bay, dragged from the car to a picnic table, assaulted and stripped of his clothes. He suffered wounds to his ear and his hand while trying to protect himself.

While at the lookout, the victim's phone was used to contact a cocaine dealer and the group of kidnappers set that man up, arranging a fake drug deal before they ambushed him at North Gosford.

That victim was also assaulted and threatened with a knife by a car load of men, before he was taken back to his house where they stole cash and a gold watch.

All six men have been convicted over their roles and five had been sentenced to jail terms ranging from a maximum of eight-and-a-half years for the drug dealer to three-and-a-half years for a minor player involved only in the second robbery.

The sixth man remains behind bars and will be sentenced in December.
