Six players in the Arsenal squad have finally been given real face scans in FIFA 23, replacing their generic faces in-game.
FIFA 23 was released at the end of October last year, and Arsenal fans were left in disbelief after catching their first glimpse of the Arsenal squad in-game, and not in a good way. A host of players including Ben White, William Saliba and even manager Mikel Arteta were given some terrible face scans, with hardly any of the Gunners' squad looking like themselves.
EA Sports received major backlash on social media, but it appears that the first steps towards an accurate-looking Arsenal squad are finally being made. Six members of the Arsenal squad have received updates to their appearance in-game following the latest squad update, and it's a major improvement.

With Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos arriving in the summer transfer window, it was more understandable as to why the duo did not have accurate face scans, though Emile Smith Rowe, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Albert Sambi Lokonga have been involved with the club for longer, so it was a surprise to see these three looks as bad as they did. Gunners youngster Catalin Cirjan has also received an updated face scan.
After the update, the sextet are now some of the best-looking players in the Gunners' squad, with Smith Rowe really looking the part. The Englishman has the exact hairstyle and facial structure as he does in real life, whilst Vieira's facial hair has finally been added.
Sambi Lokonga, Tomiyasu, Marquinhos and Cirjan also look super realistic now, though its interesting to why only these select few have received face scans. Unfortunately, no other player has received an upgrade to their appearance in the latest squad update, so you'll have to keep using the generic-looking squad for now.
