The site managers at two housing developments in North and South Lanarkshire have both scooped a top industry award.
Colin McNeish, who is Site Manager at Miller Homes’ Stoneyetts Village development in Moodiesburn, and Robert McGinney, Site Manager at Newton Fields development in Cambuslang, have both been awarded a prestigious Quality Award in this year’s NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.
The awards recognise the commitment and dedication of development site managers in attaining consistently high standards in the delivery of new homes. From an initial pool of around 8,000 across the UK, candidates were assessed across six key areas for several months to determine best practices in the field. This year, 444 site managers received a Quality Award.
Colin led the Stoneyetts Village site team to victory, recognising the exceptionally high quality of work.
“It’s such an honour to receive an NHBC Quality Award for Stoneyetts Village,” said Colin. “I would like to thank the exceptional site team for their hard work and determination, the wider Miller Homes team, our exceptional suppliers and last, but certainly not least, the residents who make Stoneyetts Village such a special community.”
Robert added: “I’m delighted to have received an NHBC Quality Award win and can’t thank my site team enough for their continued efforts in achieving such a high standard of work. I’d like to also thank the wider team at Miller Homes, our fantastic suppliers and, of course, the residents of Newton Fields, that have made this development into a real community. I’d like to congratulate the other award winners who have also taken home a win.”
Andrew McArthur, Regional Operations Director for Miller Homes Scotland West, said: “We have an excellent culture of commitment, dedication and passion for delivering homes of the highest standard to our customers in the West of Scotland, and we’re extremely proud of Colin and Robert for winning this prestigious award. It is a tremendous achievement for a site manager to be recognised in this way.”
Following on from the Pride in the Job Awards are NHBC’s Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards, which will be announced later this year.
