KOLKATA/HOWRAH: Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday formed a special investigation team to probe Aliah University alumnus Anis Khan's death and invited his father to Nabanna, assuring the family that she would ensure "justice" and that she stood with them in their bereavement.
The family iterated that it had "faith in the CM" but stuck to its demand for a CBI probe as it did "not trust the police". "We have faith in the CM but do not trust the police. They may try to destroy evidence while ‘conducting the investigation'," Anis's father, Salam Khan, said, demanding a CBI probe.
