As The Voice returns to ITV Welsh legend Sir Tom Jones will be back in his famous red chair. While Sir Tom has to listen and pick singers whose voices he likes on the show, he still puts on performances for the studio crowd.
In a clip shown on This Morning the star can be seen reducing his The Voice co-stars to tears when he performed a song about Melinda, his late wife. Olly Murs, Will.i.am, and Anne-Marie all became emotional while he performed the song.
This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes was also moved by the performance and Anne Marie, who appeared with Tom on This Morning, said it was "magical." Tom spoke about how his voice had changed over the years he had been performing and said that putting emotion into a song is very important.

He said: "You've got to try and be as real as possible...I've just got to concentrate on the message." The pair were on This Morning to promote the new series of The Voice which begins on ITV on Saturday, September 3 at 8pm.
Tom also spoke about the new Elvis film as he was close friends with Elvis. He said: “Yeah. I knew him well. Elvis, of course, I knew very well. They captured the essence."
“He doesn’t look like Elvis, right in the face, but the way he feels is the same. When I was looking at him, I thought, ‘He’s coming across really strong.’ And Tom Hanks nails Parker, he’s got him down to a tee.”
Tom added that he thinks Elvis would have loved the film. In the build-up for The Voice Tom spoke about his tactics for the show. He said: “I try to get different kinds of singers on the team. I try not to have too many that sound similar, because you’ve got to pick songs for them, see."
“I’m looking for variety… but once in a while you get tripped up. If I’ve already got three or four girls and another girl comes on who’s strong, I’m like, ‘What am I going to do here?”
