Sir Tom Jones has definitely taken to social media to deny the 'pure rumours' that he cancelled his Budapest show due to concerning health reasons.
The music legend, 82, took to Instagram on Tuesday to put the rumours to bed that he had 'collapsed' before the gig and was unable to take to the stage because of sudden health woes.
Tom insisted that the postponement occurred due to a simple bout of viral laryngitis.
The Welsh singing sensation issued an apology to his adoring fans who flocked to social media to share their concern for Sir Tom.
In a rather defiant Instagram post, the It's Not Unusual hit-maker confirmed that he had already rescheduled the show as he apologised to his disappointment fans for having to cancel the concert at such short notice.
Tom penned: "Hello to all concerned. I travelled last night from the UK to Budapest and woke this morning with an uncomfortable throat.
"A specialist came to visit and diagnosed 'viral laryngitis'. He strongly advised postponing this evening's show and prescribed medication and vocal rest.
"I did NOT 'collapse' anywhere at any time, that is pure rumour.
"Hopefully the inflammation will calm soon as I am looking forward to continuing my wonderful summer tour.
"Unfortunately the show had to be cancelled at the last minute, and for that I am very sorry.
"However, the show in Budapest has been rescheduled and will take place on August 16. Thanks again for all your kind concern. TJ."
The Sex Bomb singer had been due to perform at the MVM Dome venue but as news broke of the show's cancellation the rumours started to circulate.
Sir Tom is currently touring Europe with his Surrounded by Time tour.
He was originally thought to have collapsed ahead of the show as he continues to travel across the UK and Europe.
A source told MailOnline: "Tom Jones collapsed, so his concert was cancelled tonight and doctors were called to the stadium. His management has set August 16th as the new date for the concert."
However, Tom has denied the speculation and rumours.
Following the legendary singer's health update, fans have flocked to wish him a speedy recovery.
"I was so worried when I heard you had collapsed. But thank goodness you're okay and it's only a minor thing. Love you Tom and hope you rest up well," one adoring fan penned.
"Glad to hear it's nothing too serious. Don't believe everything you read online folks. Get well soon Tom," another echoed.
Meanwhile, a third chimed: "The greatest entertainer the UK has ever had. Take it easy Tom! Can't wait to see you later this summer."
