Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish has sent a touching message to Olivia Pratt-Korbel's family.
Sir Kenny sent his support to the family of the nine-year-old, who was fatally shot on Monday. The schoolgirl was killed when an unknown gunman shot at her mum, with the bullet striking her mum's arm before hitting her in the chest.
Olivia was rushed to Alder Hey hospital and, despite the best efforts of medical staff, died a short time later. The gunman took aim at two men while walking down Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot, with one of the men running into the home of Olivia.

After the gunman shot at the girl and her mum, he then shot the 35-year-old man twice before running away. Since the shooting, the man injured in the incident has been detained in hospital on a prison recall after breaching the terms of his licence. He will be recalled to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Two days after the heartbreaking shooting, the city has flooded social media and the scene around the crime with tributes and flowers respectively, with Sir Kenny now among those sending a message through the ECHO.
The Liverpool legend said: "The family must be devastated.
"Losing your child at nine years of age is unimaginable, especially in such horrific circumstances. RIP Olivia."
Merseyside Police is continuing its appeal for information, with the gunman being described as wearing a black padded jacket, black pants and a balaclava. The person was also described as being around 5ft 7in tall.
