Sir Elton John at Glastonbury 'may be last UK show' with The Killers frontman among special guests

Sir Elton John has left fans in awe with a stellar performance at Glastonbury as he took to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night for a "special and emotional" show.

The Rocket Man singer, 76, took to the stage in front of thousands of screaming fans while fireworks lit up the sky as he took a seat on his piano. This highly anticipated performance has been dubbed as Sir Elton's final UK gig before he retires from touring at the end of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

After performing The Bitch Is Back, Sir Elton told the crowd: "I never thought I would ever play Glastonbury and here I am.
