- Legendary broadcaster Sir David Attenborough turns 100 today and to mark the occasion Google has transformed its search page.
- The Google Doodle that appears when you search his name celebrates the achievements during Sir David’s life.
- A spokesperson for Google said: “The bespoke Search experience features a ‘Thank You’ note, with animal animations wearing party hats, bringing their own cupcakes and small gifts to celebrate his accomplishments - a genuine celebration of a global icon.”
- Following a lifetime of nature documentaries, Sir David is regarded as one of the most recognisable - and most trusted – faces on TV.
- A star-studded live event is planned among many ways that his birthday is being celebrated, featuring broadcasters including Sir Michael Palin, Steve Backshall and Chris Packham.
