A Sinn Fein Senator has said she will get gardai involved after being targeted by two disgusting emails labelling her a 'sick w***e' and asking if she had 'daddy issues'.
Lynn Boylan posted one of the emails to her social media account on Tuesday evening, before adding the second on Wednesday morning.
Boylan received the vile abuse from someone only known as 'J Mack'.

Having initially posted about how it was 'just another day in politics', Lynn wrote: "Only sharing to show the misogynistic, homophobic shite that people think they can email you and yes I'm going to gardai about it."
In one, 'J Mack' sends her a message reading: "F**ktard grammar w***e. Let's see that stuff face little lady, you ever get the feeling people are watching, they are. Sick w***e."
The second reads: "You need a good c**k or to (sic) forget YOUR daddy issues sweetheart did he turn out to be gay, did he touch you, a brother mayb (sic) cos you lot are mentally deranged and looney f**king tunes. the apples don't fall far from the tree you sick w***es. Skitzoooooooooos"
The majority of replies to Lynn's situation were supportive, with one noting: "Too many women have to put up with this kind of abuse in public life and it's just not right."
A second wrote: "I honestly don't know how people in politics, from all parties, and most especially women, put up with this."
