A sink hole has blocked busy roads in Nottinghamshire. Police have issued a warning to drivers after closing several roads on Sunday afternoon, May 14.
It comes after the discovery of a sink hole in Cotgrave - closed the junction of Plumtree Road, Main Road and Bingham Road. Bingham Road will stay shut from Sainsbury's to the Jet Garage on Main Road, while Plumtree road will be closed from Scrimshire Lane, police said earlier on Sunday.
The incident has been passed to the County Council, Nottinghamshire Police said. The force said an update will be provided on road closures when available.

The full statement from Nottinghamshire Police reads: "Junction of Plumtree Road / Main Road / Bingham Road in Cotgrave to be closed following emergence of sink hole.
"Following discovery of a sink hole earlier this afternoon (14/05/2023) the following road closures will come into effect later this afternoon around the junction of Plumtree Road / Main Road / Bingham Road in Cotgrave and will be in place until further notice. Bingham Road (from Sainsbury's) to the Jet Garage on Main Road and Plumtree RRoad will be closed from Scrimshire Lane.
"The incident has been passed to the County Council and an update will be provided on road closures when available. Please allow extra time for journeys, especially at peak times, and be patient towards other road users."
Traffic monitoring site Inrix also said in an update: "Plumtree Road Northbound closed due to sink hole in the road from Scrimshire Lane to Bingham Road. The road is closed because of the sink hole on Bingham road."
