'Sinister element': claim jury misguided over gang rape

A jury that convicted three buck's party attendees of gang rapes may have wrongly considered the men's state of mind to be a "sinister element", an appeals court has been told.

Maurice Hawell, 31, his younger brother Marius, 24, and Andrew David, 31, were all found guilty of sexual assaulting three women last year after a joint trial lasting almost four weeks.
