A single mum who went from renovating her home to needing a mobility scooter in two years because of multiple sclerosis hopes to travel to Mexico for stem cell treatment. Jade Taylor, 38, has raised £18,500 of the £56,000 she needs to be able to get to her scheduled appointment in April.
Mother-of-two Jade began experiencing symptoms of the degenerative condition in December 2019. And she noticed they were worsening in March 2020 as she renovated her house in Culloden, Inverness.
She said: "Before the diagnosis I was going to the gym all the time, working full time as a beautician and a single mum to two young children. In 2020 we moved to a new house, I was doing renovations and teaching myself joinery.
