The Ajay Devgn-led action film 'Singham Again' experienced a significant decline in box office collections on its 18th day.

According to a report on sacnilk.com, the Rohit Shetty directorial earned just Rs 1 crore on its third Monday. This marks a steep drop from its strong opening day collection of Rs 43.5 crore and its stellar first-week total of Rs 173 crore.

The third instalment in the 'Singham' franchise saw a modest start to its third weekend with Rs 2.75 crore on Friday. The film recorded slight growth over the weekend, earning Rs 3.35 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.25 crore on Sunday. Despite these gains, Monday’s sharp decline brought the total estimated earnings to Rs 231.85 crore.

Singham Again currently holds the second spot among the highest-grossing films in Shetty's Cop Universe, trailing behind Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba', which amassed Rs 239.84 crore in 2018. In third place is Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi', which collected Rs 195.51 crore in 2021. Devgn’s previous Singham films—'Singham Returns' and 'Singham'—occupy the fourth and fifth spots with earnings of Rs 140.15 crore and Rs 98.38 crore, respectively.

Interestingly, it wasn't just Singham Again that struggled to rake in the big bucks on Monday. According to the early estimates, even films like Kartik Aaryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' and Vikrant Massey's 'The Sabarmati Report' both earned in the Rs 1 crore range.

Produced on a reported budget of over Rs 350 crore, 'Singham Again' follows the police officer Bajirao Singham as he embarks on a high-stakes cross-border mission to rescue his wife, Avni, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan, from a formidable adversary. He is not in this alone as fellow cops Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff join in the fight. While the film continues to draw audiences, it now faces the challenge of maintaining momentum as it approaches the Rs 239.84 crore benchmark set by 'Simmba'.
