Sinead O'Connor has said she has spent a lot of time "reminiscing" about her late son Shane since the teenagers' funeral earlier this month.
Shane was just 17 years old when he tragically took his own life and was found dead on January 7.
He was laid to rest following a Hindu ceremony a week later where Sinead remembered him as a "beautiful angel".
In an update on Tuesday, the Irish singer said she has been staying with her best friend since the funeral.
She shared how a permanent place setting has been left at her dinner table for Shane and that he is "very present".
Sinead said on Twitter: "Am staying with my best girlfriend. Been with her since the funeral.
"We are smoking waaay too many fags (cigarettes) and reminiscing lots about my Babba.
"We have a permanent place set at the dinner table for him with a candle and incense. He is very present. He is love."
The Nothing Compares 2U singer also shared a thoughtful reply to a friend of Shane's who previously met him at a mental health facility.
The pal said: "Hi, I had the privilege to get to know Shane as I was in Lnn Dara with him for a month or so. He always wanted to see everyone else happy before himself.
"I miss him dearly. May his gentle soul rest well and enjoy his fags up there just like he did when he was here."
Sinead replied to the young woman: "Shane spoke of you with me. It’s lovely to hear from you. I hope you’re doing ok.
"Thanks so much for contacting me. Take good care of yourself. Xxx."
Speaking following Shane's funeral earlier this month, Sinead described the send-off for her son, who she shares with Donal Lunney, as "very lovely".
She said at the time: "We just said goodbye to our beautiful angel, Shaney. Very lovely Hindu ceremony.
"Shane will have loved it. He was always chanting 'Om. Shanti'. I put a few packs of fags in the coffin for him in case there’s none in heaven.
"He’ll have loved that too. Om. Shanti."
