HYDERABAD: After a strong show in 2022, Indian shuttlers begin the new season with the Malaysia Open Super-1000 badminton tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
The Olympic qualification begins in May and they will be keen to hit top gear by then. Many Olympic spots are up for grabs and only PV Sindhu and the doubles duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty look sureshot qualifiers. In men's singles, HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen, Sai Praneeth and others will battle for two spots.
