QPR have offered young forward Sinclair Armstrong a new five-year contract to fend off interest from the Premier League and clubs in Europe.
Armstrong is in the final year of his deal at Loftus Road and Rangers want to tie down the talented 20-year-old, who made his Ireland debut against Netherlands last month.
QPR have an option to extend his current deal but a further year but the west London club have offered him a long-term contract to secure his future and deter would-be buyers.
Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Celtic are among the clubs believed to have shown interest in Armstrong in the past.
The Dublin-born forward joined QPR from Shamrock Rovers in 2020 after making his senior debut in Ireland aged 15.
Armstrong has made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship this season, scoring one goal.
He started against Leeds on Wednesday night as QPR lost 1-0 at Elland Road, leaving them in the relegation zone.
QPR manager Gareth Ainsworth said last month: “Since I walked in the door, I’ve known this boy has some of the key attributes required to be a top, top striker. I believe he’ll play in the Premier League.”
