British band Simply Red has postponed its Nottingham show in February due to Covid infection within the band and crew.
Due to play at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on February 17 2022, Simply Red has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 9 2022.
In a statement, Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena said: "Unfortunately, due to Covid infection within the band and crew, and under current Covid regulations, Simply Red must postpone their remaining tour dates to March 2022
"All tickets purchased for the tour will remain valid for the new date"
Mick Hucknall has been Simply Red’s songwriter and bandleader since the very beginning in 1985, aided by long-serving saxophonist Ian Kirkham since 1986.
The current line-up has remained consistent since 2003, and the new tour will play to the core strengths of the band.
“I want them to enjoy playing, for crowds to get up and move around, and everybody to put their heart into it. It’s all about capturing the groove”, said Hucknall.
The arena added: "You may not have received your ticket as yet but your ticket order is valid so you do not need to contact us. If you opted for your tickets to be delivered via post, tickets will be dispatched shortly."
Returning to the city for the first time since their ‘Star’s’ anniversary tour, Mick Hucknall and co will play Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Wednesday March 9 2022. Special guest Mica Paris will support.
Hailed as one of the most successful live acts ever to come out of the UK, they will be firing on all cylinders delivering their all-time classic hits from a stellar career, such as ‘Stars’, ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘Fairground’ and ‘Money’s Too Tight To Mention’, as well as some raw and soulful new grooves.
Tickets still remain on sale priced from £62.80. More details here
