During the ongoing competition, Simone Biles encountered a challenging moment on her weakest event, the uneven bars. The apparatus has proven to be a critical factor in the contest, with Biles facing tough competition from Andrade.

Andrade delivered an impressive routine, scoring 14.666 on the uneven bars. Biles followed, but a near-miss during a transition between bars caused a moment of tension as she managed to regain control, eliciting a gasp from the audience.
