Simon Thomas appeared to make a thinly-veiled dig at Piers Morgan during Friday's episode of Jeremy Vine Extra.
The 49-year-old TV presenter sat on the panel of the Channel 5 show alongside Tessa Dunlop and Nina Wadia to discuss the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the ongoing celebrations in London.
Presenter Storm Huntley was keen to speak about the attendance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and asked: "Are we happy to see them back, Tessa?"
"Absolutely, resoundingly yes!" she replied.
"The Queen clearly wanted it, this is her big weekend. Ultimately families have rifts, things fall apart, but in the end you've got to get it together.
"I feel, I watched them go into St Paul's this morning and Meghan looked a bit apprehensive, understandably, she also looked stunning by the way.
"But I love the fact that they were given their own procession, they came in on their own and I felt everyone looked thrilled to see them," Tessa added.
Simon then joined in and said: "Listen, I don't fully understand the level of vitriol that this couple, at various times, receive.
"There's some notable figures, I'm not gonna mention one of them, who seem to make it their business to constantly comment about these two."
Storm butted in and said: "I think we can guess who that is!" as Simon continued: "Well let's not go there! I don't want to be trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons later, but I just think about it from a family point of view.
"No one likes to see family feuds, no one likes to see families falling out with each other and this is such a monumental moment for the Queen - 70 years on the throne, 96 years of age."
Simon continued: "What you don't want at a moment like this are various sections of your family ostracised, so Meghan and Harry back in the United States and not even attending."
Piers, 57, has been very vocal about his thoughts on Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle over the past few years.
Most recently, the former Good Morning Britain host mocked photos of Meghan that were taken during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Thursday 2 June.
Piers shared a montage of pictures of Prince William and Kate's youngest son Louis as he made faces while standing next to the monarch.
Louis was photographed pulling faces and putting his hands over her eyes and ears while he attended the show.
Piers tweeted the caption: "Is this when Aunty Meghan arrived?"
However, his followers weren't too impressed, with one tweeting: "Five years later and you're still obsessed."
While another commented: "You’ve been saying all week about this being the Queens weekend and to not make it all about Meghan which you were correct to say and I know this is meant in a humorous manner but you aren’t helping the cause here."
