Simon Jordan wants Celtic cynics outed as he insists Ange Postecoglou 'nay sayers' must be named and shamed

Simon Jordan wants the Ange Postecoglou "nay sayers" to be named and shamed when Celtic clinch the title.

The Premiership champions-elect need just a single point to reclaim the trophy from rivals Rangers when they take on Dundee United on Wednesday night.

Postecoglou's new-look side were unfancied against their Ibrox rivals before the season commenced and his appointment was met with derision in some quarters including, infamously, Jordan's radio colleague Alan Brazil.

But the former Australia and Yokohama F. Marinos boss has defied the cynics to stand on the brink of a domestic Double, having already won the Premier Sports Cup back in December.

And former Crystal Palace owner Jordan wants to have a bit of fun calling out those who wrote off Postecoglou before a ball was kicked as he suggested radio producers should be compiling a package.

He said on talkSPORT : "They should get a package of all the nay sayers of Ange Postecoglou and play it.

"Everybody who had something to say, and there quite a few of them, about whether this guy was worthy of the opportunity - who was he? what was he going to do? No one had heard of him and where he'd managed.

"They might want to play that as a package when we celebrate Celtic winning the title - in the same way we'd celebrate Rangers winning the Europa League!"
