Former Crystal Palace owner turned pundit Simon Jordan says Nottingham Forest cannot feel aggrieved if Everton receive a points deduction next season.
There are suggestions that Everton could be docked points next term if they are found to have breached spending rules, something this season's relegation contenders are reportedly considering legal action over.
That has sparked debate as whether a points deduction next season would be fair to any teams who are relegated at Everton's expense in the final weeks of the season. Even though Forest look increasingly unlikely to be one of those teams, it is still a topic of interest. It is, as many things are, something Jordan feels passionately about.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said: "If you want these rules changed, if you want to change the process and suggest to the PL that you need (it to be that) when a charge is brought it needs to be done and dusted within 30 days, then off you go you 20 football clubs, sit in your AGM and vote for that rule change.
"These football clubs, with due respect to them, if they want rules changed about how processes are defined, it is their gift. Richard Masters and his gang work for them. He exists because of them. His job is to fulfil the outcomes they want. If they want due process to be exacted in the very same season that a charge is brought, and there must be a finessed, fast-tracked and streamlined process, good luck with it.
"They won't want it because one day they'll be on the other side of the argument when it comes down to them wanting to be able to put forward a case to defend themselves against an allegation. They won't want to be adjudicated in 28 days."
Presenter Jim White then asked: "If Everton get a points deduction next season, will that be fair on the three clubs that go down in the next couple of weeks?"
Jordan replied: "Yes, because those are the rules you allowed (yourselves) to be participating in. Life isn't fair."
