Simon Jordan fires Graham Potter Leeds United 'trouble' warning amid Todd Boehly demand

Former Crystal Palace owner and talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan has told Chelsea manager Graham Potter he'll 'be in trouble' if his side loses to Leeds United this weekend.

The Blues boss has overseen one of the club's roughest periods on recent memory having won just two of his last 15 matches in the Premier League and has come under considerable heat from fans throughout his tenure at Stamford Bridge.

But ahead of the meeting between the two sides this weekend, Jordan believes that Chelsea's new American owner Todd Boehly must give Potter the boot if he can't come up with all three points against the Whites on Saturday.

"There are mitigating factors," Jordan wrote for the Daily Mail. "Potter was appointed mid-season and has only had five months. He’s had to deal with injuries and integrating new signings but surely new brooms sweep the cleanest? Surely Chelsea expected better than this?

"They must be having reservations now. They must be thinking this is not where we thought we would be. We didn’t buy a football club to be knocked out of every competition, sit 10th in the league and listen to background noise about how little we know.

"There is a small window of opportunity for Potter to address this but if Chelsea keep stinking the place out and lose to Leeds on Saturday and get knocked out of the Champions League, then he really is in trouble.

"Besides funding the club, an owner’s most important role is deciding who you hire and when you fire them. My attitude to firing managers when their time came was: 'I don’t know how we’re going to get along without you but as from Monday we’ll try'.

"It is ruthless but there is no place for sentiment. If Chelsea think his time is up then get it done. If you have doubts, confront them, confront the reality of what you are looking at objectively, take personal pride out of it and make a bloody decision."
