Simon Jordan admits he 'cant make sense' of Brendan Rodgers returning to Celtic.
The Hoops are in advanced talks to bring their former boss back to the club for a second stint as they up the ante in getting a new manager in place to replace Ange Postecoglou. He made the move to the English Premier League to take over the top job at Tottenham following a Treble success as his last act in Scotland.
Rodgers - who was also very successful first time around in Glasgow - left Celtic because he wanted a return to England's top flight and that is what talkSPORT pundit Jordan finds strange about him returning north of the border - with a move looking increasingly likely.

Speaking on air, he explained: "I can’t make sense of Brendan Rodgers and this decision to go back to Celtic. Not because I have any disregard for Celtic or devaluation of Celtic, but he left Celtic because he wanted to go back to the Premier League.
"I’m not suggesting you can’t go back somewhere, more often than not it doesn’t tend to work, but there is always exceptions and this may be it. I can only assume that the offers that he is getting are outside of the Premier League and subsequently he doesn’t want to take that step, because then he is classed as a Championship manager.
"By going to Celtic he is still performing in an elite league that has European football. They go into the Champions League, and could drop into the Europa League and go deep into that competition and get some credibility as a result of that. It’s a strange departure from the direction of travel I assumed Brendan Rodgers would go on.
"I maintain that I don’t think he covered himself in glory at Leicester and I think he is a huge part of the reason they got relegated. Brendan has built a big reputation and has been very well rewarded for it, but the job he did at Leicester irritates me because it was poor and he has gotten away with it.
"Going back to Celtic is a strange direction because if we are to believe the media reports there is a significant part of the Celtic fan base who was very unhappy with the way he departed."
