Simon Cowell wowed by strongman with huge burning log on Britain's Got Talent

The Britain's Got Talent judges were left stunned this evening as a strongman did tricks with a burning 40kg log - but it turns out Simon has judged him before on America's Got Talent. The 37-year-old contestant called Tulga, who is originally from Mongolia, claimed to be the only person in the world who did the dangerous act and had flown it from the USA for the show.

He strode onto the stage carrying the huge log, which Amanda compared to a 'telegraph pole', before resting it on his shoulders. Helpers then set both ends of the massive log on fire. Tulga then threw it into the air with a scream, caught it on his shoulders and spun it around on his back, under his arms and finally on his head.

Taking the already terrifying performance up a notch, he then used a metal instrument to spin the huge pole using just hit mouth, before throwing and catching the log, as David Walliams cowered behind his hands. Tulga screamed once more, then suspended himself upside down from the ceiling to hold the log once again using just his mouth. The log was set on fire once more, and it spun around and he rose into the air. Read all our TV news here.

The open-mouthed judges gave the strongman a standing ovation, with Amanda Holden branding it "just incredible". Alisha Dixon added: "You are the human action man...you make it look easy but so much respect for what you do."

Simon Cowell joked: "Tulga, I want you to be my security guard", while Walliams said he was "completely blown away". It was four yeses from the judges, but viewers were less impressed with the fact the judges didn't recognise the act. Some users on Twitter recognised the stunt man from his appearance on sister show America's Got Talent in 2017 - a performance which was before Simon Cowell himself.

User @dvlloyd wrote: "Tulga a strongman act from season 12 of America’s got Talent……why do they keep doing this?", while @primetimemafia wrote: "Tulga "it's the biggest stage in the world". No pal, you got cut by the judges on americas got talent!" According to Metro, Tulga has appeared several times on Got Talent stages, performing in France, Australia, Czech-Slovak and China.
