Simon Cowell's already svelte physique continues to shrink further after making long-term changes to his previously unhealthy lifestyle. The X-Factor judge recently shocked fans as he looked "slimmer than ever" in a snap taken on a family holiday.
Cowell, 62, could be seen cuddling up to fiancée Lauren Silverman, 45, and son Eric, eight, with ex-girlfriend Terri, 49, around a cosy fire in the countryside. The group photos also showed Terri's daughter Coco, seven, and her mother Margaret, as they took time off on the huge country estate.
Fans couldn't help but notice how much the music mogul has shrunk, as he flaunted a rather trim figure in a black T-shirt and white shorts. But Simon didn't shed the pounds over night.
The Britain's Got Talent judge decided to change his ways over four years ago, and has lost inches as a result. And the music producer asserts that he has done it all himself.
How much weight has Simon Cowell lost?
Simon Cowell has shed an impressive four stone thanks to a diet overhaul and new exercise regime. Speaking to the Sun, he admitted to indulging in decadent foods prepared by his personal chefs.
On his new diet, he said:“The most dramatic period was the first month where most of the weight comes off and you look at yourself and think ‘wow’."
But since making the decision to ditch the junk foods, he has dropped an four pants sizes.
How did Simon Cowell lose weight?
In 2019, it was reported by the Mirror that Cowell lost his first 20 pounds by taking up a near-vegan diet. This radical change was brought on by a hospitalisation from a fall down the stairs in 2017, caused by low blood pressure.
As the creator of the X-Factor and Got Talent franchises, Cowell lives a hectic lifestyle consumed with work - and this no doubt means late nights and on-the-go eating for the entrepreneur, as well as plenty of stress.
The incident spooked the music producer, as he then decided to cut out four key foods - dairy, sugar, bread, gluten and red meat, after consulting with his doctor. He said: "Cutting all that out is what has made a difference, genuinely."
For exercise, Cowell's favourite method is cycling, and lots of it. He added: "Ironically I was out on my bike as my exercise. I did ten or 11 miles every day.
"Even though it's an electric bike I'd have it switched off until I needed it. It's the best way to exercise because it's fun. It's a combination of all that stuff. It gives you energy and makes you feel better."
While ditching the food didn't phase him, he was more worried about saying goodbye to booze. Speaking to Extra TV, Simon said: "My first thought was 'what about the alcohol'? The doctor said, 'maybe not quite as much as you had before' and I've stuck to it and it's easy."
While Cowell still drinks and smokes, he has cut down massively, and swears he has a better balanced routine. And the good news is, Simon's diet is easy to follow.
As reported in the Express, he revealed that he was now eating white meat, like chicken and turkey, as well as plenty of salads and vegetables. He also avoids red meats like beef, lamb and pork, which are known to be higher in saturated fats.
Cowell was even able to keep up his new routine during lockdown. His motivator to keep up the good work is down to his eight -year-old son Eric, as he wants to keep up with his energetic son.
Simon's story is impressive. His results are living proof that patience and gradual change with no crash dieting can bring results - ones which can last a lifetime.
