Simon Cowell refuses to be drawn on a date for wedding to fiancée Lauren Silverman

Simon Cowell refused to be drawn on his wedding plans with Lauren Silverman on Loose Women today.

The music mogul, 63 was supposed to be getting married to the mum of his son, Eric, earlier this year - but he's yet to walk down the aisle.

The star popped up on Loose Women from his palatial pile in Barbados to talk about his latest collaboration with X Factor's Lucy Spraggan, but when Jane Moore asked him if he'd set a date for his wedding, he was uncharacteristically coy.

"How are the wedding plans going?" she asked.

"Um...we're still planning," Simon replied as the host said: "Typical Simon Cowell."

An excited Denise Welch added: "We need time to get our outfits ready," - obviously hoping for an invite.

Simon was set to exchange vows with Lauren, 45, in June at a star-studded intimate ceremony in London.

After years of leading a bachelor lifestyle, wooing glamorous women from around the world, fans thought the X Factor boss had been tamed by the American socialite.

The mum-of-two began dating Simon in 2013, but their relationship was far from smooth, as she was already married to businessman Andrew Silverman - who was also the music mogul's close friend.

Lauren and Simon later welcomed son Eric, who is now eight and 'very much his own man' according to Simon.

Pointing out he'd experienced fatherhood "late" the star said his son had 'changed his life'.

When asked by Jane whether Eric gives his dad career advice, Simon said: "Omg yes. He gives his opinion non-stop. I've got a good idea what he's going to be when he's older. He's his own man."

Simon has a number of super successful shows on TV, including Britain's Got Talent.

Speaking about getting Eric's reaction to his work, he said: "When I watch shows before they go out I'm looking at Eric thinking: 'Does he like it or not?'"

Simon concluded: "Annoyingly he's always right."

The multi-millionaire left fans of the Royal Variety Performance in hysterics after an epic blunder on Tuesday.

ITV viewers were 'cringing' after the father-of-one accidentally broke an important prop on stage.

The Britain's Got Talent judge appeared to introduce the 2022 winner, Axel Blake, who Simon said was his 'easiest' Golden Buzzer candidate in history.

However, things took a turn when the judge caused chaos as he broke off the golden buzzer from its stand.

While the audience burst into laughter, viewers at home couldn't help but cringe.

"Oh Simon Cowell breaking the golden buzzer," one tweeted, while another echoed: "Mortified for Simon Cowell. He seemed so nervous. Bless him."
