It's fresh disaster for the 62-year-old music mogul who broke his arm a number of days ago in yet another 'e-bike' crash.
Following his recent crash, Simon was was noticeably absent from proceedings in London on Thursday as he was not seen arriving to filming with fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Simon is currently holed up at home as he isolates after contracting the viral bug.
"Simon was unable to attend filming today as he was isolating at home after testing positive for Covid-19," his spokesperson told Mail Online.
His absence due to Covid comes just days after his horror e-bike accident which left him with a broken arm.
Simon was said to have been rushed to hospital last Thursday night after being caught in an accident near his home in West London, but was later released.
The entertainment mogul, who was not wearing a helmet, was 'propelled over the handlebars and onto the road at 20mph'.
His latest accident comes just 18 months after he broke his back on an e-bike in Los Angeles.
A source close to the TV star told The Mirror : "Simon was on the e-bike with his electric motor on, when the bike slipped on a wet patch.
"He went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road and is lucky to be alive as he wasn’t wearing a helmet.
There was blood pouring from his face but luckily he managed to get some help from passers by.
"He was taken to hospital and X-rays showed he broke his arm.
He has his arm in a yellow cast and is on the mend now but will need to rest."
According to The Sun, passersby helped poor Simon before the ambulance arrived.
He was rushed to hospital with suspected concussion and a broken arm, reports the publication.
A source said: “Simon is lucky to be alive.
“He was pedalling along, with his electric motor on, when the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch.
"He slipped and went flying over the handlebars into the middle of the road."
According to the insider, Simon had blood pouring all down his face and "looked like something from Phantom of the Opera".
Thankfully, Simon was released from hospital that same night, with a cast on his arm.
