Simon Cowell has hinted he wants former Boyzone man Ronan Keating to be the singer at his up-coming wedding to Lauren Silverman.
The music mogul popped the question to his now fiancee last year during the festive period, with the happy couple set to wed in 2023.
And now, while talking to the Irish singer on The One Show, Simon, 63, seemingly revealed he had enquired about his services for the big day.
The X Factor creator opened up to presenter Alex Jones about his wedding planning. The Welsh host said: "We know you love Christmas, bit of romantic behaviour Simon. You proposed, didn't you, to Lauren on Christmas Eve."
Pretending that was news to him, a "surprised" looking Simon gasped: "Did I?," before laughing and saying he was kidding and of course he did.
Alex continued: "So what we were wondering was, with all your contacts, who is going to be the wedding singer?"
Ronan, sitting beside Alex at the time, amusingly cleared his throat after the question before Simon said: "Hmm, well now, Ronan is very pricey. And I mean very pricey."
Alex joked she could "wangle a deal" as Ronan confessed: "He's checked."
Simon continued, with it not clear whether he was being truthful or sarcastic: "We've already talked about it. It's like mega. Seriously mega."
Alex again quipped she'd get him a deal, which led to the Britain's Got Talent judge replying: "You better."
Simon, who shares son Eric with Lauren, finally asked his partner for her hand in marriage after dating for nine years.
Their love story began while she was still married to her ex - and his close friend - Andrew Silverman. Things moved fast between the pair and they've been inseparable since growing close.
Simon reportedly "stunned" Lauren, 44, when he popped the question, but she was said to have told him yes without a moment's thought.
An insider told The Sun at the time: "Simon and Lauren are ridiculously, nauseatingly in love - incredibly, lockdown brought them closer than ever.
"Lauren was absolutely stunned and never in a million years expected Simon to pop the question. She burst into tears - happy tears - and obviously said ‘yes’ straight away."
The source went on to say that she had been his "rock" after he broke his back in 2020 and claimed the former lothario knew he had to "put a ring on it" as Lauren is the "woman of his dreams."
