Silo season 3 release date

The Silo season 3 release date is July 3, 2026. The release date was confirmed by Apple TV on April 21, around two months before release.
Filming on the third chapter wrapped in June 2025. However, if season 3 followed the same pattern as season 2, which wrapped filming in March 2024 and hit screens in November 2024, we should have seen Silo season 3 air in February 2026. The slight delay may be due to the fact that seasons 3 and 4 were filmed back-to-back, which would have extended the shoot. But, season 4 has now wrapped filming, as confirmed by the Apple TV Twitter account, so we might not have to wait long for the final season.

One thing is for sure, though, Silo better return quickly as the show has already fallen out of Apple TV's top 10 most-popular shows.
Silo season 3 plot speculation *SPOILERS*

The official synopsis is as follows: "In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives her forced 'cleaning' but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in the 'Before Times,' journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences." We met Helen and Daniel at the very end of season 2, with the "Before Times" taking place centuries prior.
Yost recently confirmed that Zuckerman is playing Daniel (although his book counterpart is named Donald), a young congressman who unwittingly becomes the designer of the silos. Zuckerman and Henwick will be series regulars in Silo season 3, so part of the upcoming chapter will be set in the past as we finally unravel the mysteries surrounding who built the silos and why.
Silo season 3 cast

Given what happened in the Silo season 2 finale, we can expect some changes with the season 3 cast. Firstly, Iain Glen's Dr. Pete Nichols sacrificed himself, so he won't be returning (unless there are flashbacks, of course). But, more importantly, the very last scene of the second season took us back in time, where we met two new characters: young politician Daniel (Ashley Zuckerman) and a journalist named Helen (Jessica Henwick).
Shortly after the season 2 finale aired, it was confirmed that both Zuckerman and Henwick would be reprising their roles in the third season as series regulars. They will play crucial parts in Silo season 3, which will partly depict the origins of the silos and means a new cast of characters will also come into the fold. Colin Hanks, Laura Innes and Jessica Brown Findlay are among the new additions, though we don't yet know who they're playing.
Of course, Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette will be back, alongside many familiar faces:
- Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette
- Steve Zahn as Solo/Jimmy
- Tim Robbins as Bernard Holland
- Common as Robert Sims
- Alexandria Riley as Camille Sims
- Harriet Walter as Martha Walker
- Claire Perkins as Carla
- Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings
- Rick Gomez as Patrick Kennedy
- Shane McRae as Knox
- Remmie Milner as Shirley
- Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle
- Billy Postlethwaite as Hank
- Jessica Henwick as Helen
- Ashley Zuckerman as Daniel
- Colin Hanks
- Laura Innes
- Jessica Brown Findlay
- Morven Christie
- Reed Birney
Is there a Silo season 3 trailer?
Yes! The first trailer for Silo season 3 was released by Apple on April 21, 2026. Clocking in at a mere 53 seconds, it's not a particularly expansive first look as it's built around a neat high concept. Depicting the events of the series so far in reverse, it ends with a pre-apocalyptic shot of the once verdant landscape where the silos were constructed. "Before we can know how it will end, we need to understand how it all began," says Juliette. Expect answers to big questions in the final two seasons.
Is Silo season 3 the final season?

Silo season 3 isn't the end of the road: the show has already been renewed for season 4. However, as announced back in December 2024, Silo season 4 is set to be the last installment in the series.
In a press release, it was revealed that these last two seasons will complete the story told by Hugh Howey's trilogy of novels, with Yost promising that it will satisfy viewers who are longing for answers to "many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos."
