Signs of Stronger Global Sugar Demand Lift Prices

NY London USDA Brazil India China Thailand

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV25) today is up +0.29 (+1.78%), and October London ICE white sugar #5 (SWV25) is up +12.20 (+2.55%).

Sugar prices today are sharply higher, with London sugar climbing to a 5-week high. Signs of stronger global sugar demand are supporting prices. China's July sugar imports surged +76% to 740,000 MT, and Pakistan recently tendered for 200,000 MT of refined sugar.
