'Sign that thing' - Manchester United fans send clear message to Paul Pogba after Leeds display

Manchester United fans were pleading with Paul Pogba to sign a new contract after his performance against Leeds.

The midfielder was rewarded for his impressive display having come off the bench against Brighton in midweek with a return to the starting XI, and he certainly didn’t disappoint.

The France international was in fine form as he ran the show for United in the first-half, with goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes sending the visitors into the break with a 2-0 lead.

It could have been more and Pogba could have bagged another assist had Cristiano Ronaldo not had his close-range effort saved by Illan Meslier.

The 2018 World Cup winner made way for Fred after the hosts clawed their way back into the game, with the Brazilian going on to restore United’s lead before Anthony Elanga made sure of the three points.

But there was no doubting the quality of Pogba’s performance, with the 28-year-old showing some of his best form since returning from injury.

The midfielder took to social media after the game to share a couple of pictures of himself at Elland Road, along with the caption: “It’s not over until it’s over. Great team spirit today, massive three points.”

With his future still undecided as he enters the final few months of his contract at Old Trafford, there is still plenty of concern from fans that he could be on his way out of the club again this summer.

And supporters did their best to try and convince Pogba to stay at United as they replied in their droves.

Despite the efforts of the supporters, the Manchester Evening News understands United are still planning for Pogba to leave the club in the summer.

However, the Frenchman did hold productive discussions with Ralf Rangnick prior to his return against Middlesbrough and he's believed to be more upbeat at United.
