Reform UK’s deputy leader, Richard Tice, has controversially described children wearing ear defenders in school as "insane", claiming neurodiverse conditions like ADHD are overdiagnosed.
At a Westminster press conference on Monday, Tice, outlining Reform’s Doge (Department of government efficiency) unit’s progress, warned of a "crisis" in the special educational needs and disabilities (Send) system. He asserted that if this remains unresolved, there will be "no bins collected".
