A Lanarkshire man has been put on the sex offenders’ register after he was caught with hundreds of child abuse images.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that police officers seized a desktop computer, iPad and mobile phone when they raided Ryan Tweedie’s home.
The devices contained 447 videos and photos showing children being sexually abused.
Tweedie, 27, of Shand Street, Wishaw, admitted downloading the indecent material.
The court was told that officers arrived at the house shortly before 7am on December 14, 2021.
When they explained the reason for their visit, Tweedie became “agitated” and admitted “I’ve fu**ed up here”.
Sentence on the first offender was deferred until March for background reports and a risk assessment.
Sheriff John Speir ordered destruction of the computer, iPad and phone.
