Shriya Saran recently spilled some beans on her newfound motherhood and daughter Radha. The actress also revealed the reason behind not announcing her pregnancy on social media.
Shriya said that the main reason why she did not speak about her pregnancy was that she wanted to make it as her own time and spend time with herself and have those six months with Radha. She also added that she wanted to be fat and not worry about what people will write about her.
Elaborating further, Shriya added that the other reason was that she was scared that if she speaks about her pregnancy people will take that much longer time to come back and give her work. According to her, it is a visual medium and people expect you to look a certain way and so when she came back and spoke about her pregnancy, she was already working. The actress had already signed three films. Radha was nine months old and she had already shed all her pregnancy weight, the actress told Pinkvilla.
Shriya tied the knot with her Russian boyfriend Andrei Koscheev in 2018. Last year in October, Shriya announced that she and Andrei were parents to a daughter, Radha, born on January 10, 2021.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shriya was last seen in 'Drishyam 2' co-starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Ishita Dutta and others. The film made a record-breaking collection at the box office.
