Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has given a reason why he thinks Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona did not go to plan.

Liverpool managed to bank £142million for the Brazilian playmaker when he signed for Barcelona in January 2018. The Reds used that money wisely to help build a squad that would go on to be crowned English, European and World champions.

But Coutinho's struggled at Barcelona and after a spell on loan at Bayern Munich, where he did win the Champions League, he is now back playing in the Premier League until the end of the season with Aston Villa.
