In his first year as head coach of the Boston Celtics, Joe Mazzulla led the ball club to a total of 57 wins in the 2022-23 regular season. However, in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, his shortcomings were on full display as he often struggled to keep up with more seasoned head coaches like Quin Snyder, Doc Rivers, and Erik Spoelstra.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” discusses if Boston should move on from Mazzulla after his postseason difficulties or whether it makes sense to give the man a proper supporting cast of assistants.
They also talk about the other options on the NBA coaching carousel who are finding new homes elsewhere and more.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say about Mazzulla’s likely future in the city of Boston.
