There’s been much speculation regarding what the Chicago Bears will do with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. We even wrote about it not too long ago giving our best guess. And that’s just it… what the Bears will actually do is anyone’s guess.
While most believe the Bears will indeed trade Justin Fields, one former Buckeye believes they should stick with their current QB1. C.J. Stroud was recently asked his thoughts on the subject and didn’t mince words saying “They should if they’re smart but you know…”
The host went on to quip “It’s the Bears.” which gave Stroud a chuckle.
CJ Stroud was asked if the #Bears should keep Justin Fields for next season… listen to his answer:

Stroud who had a breakout rookie season of course played behind Justin Fields while at Ohio State and got to see his leadership and talent firsthand. What the Bears will do remains a mystery, but it seems at least some who know the game and know Fields well believe it would be in the best interest of the team to build around their current quarterback.
We may be a little biased, but we feel like that would be the best decision as well.
