Should plane passengers move seats for families? Vogue Williams causes outrage - we want your opinion

Earlier this week Vogue Williams hit the headlines after she complained about an "awful" man who refused to switch seats with her on a flight.

The Howth model was flying back from a holiday with her family when she realised she had booked the wrong seat. Vogue, 36, wanted to swap seats so she could sit next to her husband and kids, however initially she was not accommodated by a fellow passenger.

Speaking on her podcast, Spencer and Vogue, she said the man refused when Spencer asked him if she could take his seat.

She said: "Spencer was like 'Would you mind doing window instead of aisle so we can be altogether'.

"And he was like 'Yes, Spencer, I would mind'." The man ended but switching seats, however she didn't appear too grateful.

Vogue said: "Anyways, when he realised he was being an absolute t***, because he looked at me with the newborn baby and two kids beside me, he was like 'Okay fine, fine, I'll do it'.

While Vogue clearly thought she was in the right, there was huge reaction online to her behaviour. Vogue's sense of entitlement was questioned by The Independent's Lucy Thackray who wrote: "'Why should child-free plane passengers be expected to jump to move for families?" she pointed out: "What can be worse than the little darlings themselves are the parents."

She argued: "What I can’t understand is her astonishment and her fury that this poor bloke – who may have booked his particular seat for a reason, may be a nervous flyer or may be going through something less visible than your Instagram Family Drama – did not jump to immediately offer his seat the minute he saw the parents sitting apart."

Do you agree with Vogue that people should accommodate families? Or are flyers without children entitled to keep their seat without judgement? Have you been put in this situation? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
