Almost 70 bus services have been cancelled by Trentbarton for Nottingham and the surrounding areas. At 9am on Sunday, August 28, Trentbarton announced they would be unable to operate 69 bus services across seven different routes due to a shortage of bus drivers.
The tweet stated: "We are unable to operate the following services. This is primarily due to a shortage of bus drivers which is impacting the bus industry up and down the country.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding." Buses affected by these service cancellations include the Rainbow One, Skylink Nottingham, The Two, 20, i4, The Keyworth and The Mickleover.
The 69 bus services affected are between 9am and 11:12pm. Trentbarton posted a similar tweet at 8:30am on Saturday, August 27, warning passengers of cancellations on more than 100 of its services across nine of its buses.
