Shops closed on Boxing Day 2022 including Home Bargains, Aldi, Marks and Spencer, Iceland, Lidl

The Boxing Day sales remain a popular way for shoppers to bag a bargain over the festive season as retailers up and down the high street slash prices.

Stores in Liverpool are almost guaranteed to be busy on December 26, with queues often seen at places like Cricket, Next and Zara, despite the increase in online shopping in recent years. Boxing Day is a bank holiday, meaning not all stores are open for as long as usual, so it's worth checking opening times before you head out.

If you've got a particular store in mind that you want to visit, take a look through this guide to all the Boxing Day closures we know so far, as some retailers are choosing to remain closed on the day.
