Bargain hunters have been left in awe after spotting a high-end brand of foundation on offer at Farmfoods for a fraction of the price. Taking to popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one Farmfoods customer rushed online after finding a bottle of the make-up on the shelf for just 49p.
Alongside pictures of the foundation and the box it came in, the shopper told fellow members of the group: "I found ‘The Ordinary’-Coverage foundation (30ml) in Farmfoods this morning for 49p. They only had the Light in stock. The cashier said one lady went back and bought 20 boxes."
On the official Ordinary website, it states that its Coverage Foundation is available for £6.90 and comes in 36 different shades. A description of the product reads: "Our Coverage Foundation delivers full coverage without a heavy-makeup look.
"This cream-like formula is perfect for everyday use because it is compatible with most primers, has a semi-matte finish, and our suspension system allows the pigments to stay on for longer. Just like everything in our Colours collection, this foundation is designed to be suitable for all skin types."
Since sharing the bargain find on the Facebook group, the post has been liked more than 800 times, with hundreds of comments. Jenny admitted: "Whatttttt???? I didn't even know farm foods sold make up."
Linda added: "Thanks for sharing x." Annoula penned: "They sell this really cheap near where I live too. I bought the light shade and the dark shade which was all they had but you can mix them both to your colour."
However, it would seem shoppers will need to act fast if they want to bag themselves a bottle of the stuff in stores as Ordinary announced it will be discontinuing its Colours Coverage and Serum Foundation lines this year.
In a statement, the brand said: "Letting go of Colours has been a tough decision to take. Especially difficult since many of us here use and love the products.
"Our hearts said no, but our heads said yes, and so we will be saying goodbye to our Colours Concealers from January 30, 2023 on theordinary.com. Foundations will be with us a little longer—until June of next year.
